DONE!!!
I have made it! im very overwhelmed at the moment! It was amazing! I am in germany and am planning on chilling out for a while, so I am not entirely sure when I will be back. Still waiting for a message from work (matt thats you!!! :-) ) to see whether i can get a week off longer. Anyway, this trip was hard and has put me to the test. Not only physically but in every way possible! It was worth it. About 200 ppl were here to welcome me and Poppy into the village and the atmosphere was amazing. So a big thank you to all of my german friends who attended to welcome party. I would also say a big thank you for Poppy McLaughlin who support me all the way along the way. It was not easy for her easy and she has overcome many challenges as well! She was brilliant and has put up with me and my moods amazingly. Thank you so much Poppy the trip would not have been the same withouth you! At last I would also like to thank everyone for their support and help and nice messages I have been getting! Thank you Thank you Thank you! Message like : Go Eva I believe in you! or just Go Go Go were amazing and really helped! Ok, I am going to stop writing this essay now and will probably go to bed, but will write to you again and let you know how much money i have actually raised for The Murry Foundation! Day 6! Half way through!
Well today im about half way through my trip and we are in Maubeuge, France! The weather here is shocking! at least it hasn't rained today though, which is always good! The road surfaces were shocking too. I really struggeled today though. My ankles are swollen and my legs tired. I just want to sleep. So now we are in a hotel called IBIS and we got a pretty nice room. Poppy and I are both sitting on the bed eating chocolate cake....yum yum!
Tried to rescue a little goat today, which was running around on the streets. However, it was a very fast goad and it really did not want to be rescued! So I let it run off into the field!
Nothing else exciting happened today... nothing that can think of anyway! Poppy says hi to all of you!
Missing you all lots,

Day 5
Today we both really struggeled to get up! we were sooo tired! And not only that, it was raining really heavily outside and we were both not too impressed about that. The place we stayed in, was absolutely amazing. The guy who was managing it, was brilliant.
Im exhausted today. There is not much to say today tho. Only did about half the distance today, as it was raining and i lost a wheel on my rollerblades!!! Thankfully I realised just before i was going down a hill. but all is well!
Just found a hotel and im going to have a bath now,
So bye bye x x x

Day 4
Today is day 4... Sorry for not writing yesterday had a little accident, unfortunately i chipped a bone in my leg but i am keeping on going. Decided to drive to Dover so we would not miss the ferry crossing, but will be making up the mileage in France. We had a great time on the ferry, lots of cheesey photos!! Stayed at the Bonsai hotel in Calais, Poppy got a little (LOT) stressed about driving on the wrong side of the road!
Lost an hour sleep due to time difference but had a good day today. Today i made to St. Pol sur Ternoise in France and found an amazing place to stay. One thing about France, there are a lot of hills!! (You can see that on the photos!) Met some nice people at lunch time who did not speak english but told me they loved us! Poppy is acting as my entertainment, her attempts at french are hilarious!
This is it for today, just adding the pictures..
Je t'aime!

03/06/08 - Day 2
Well, today is day 2! We have just stopped for lunch and I thought I would write here now as there is Internet access available.
We left around 10 this morning and it is not 1 o'clock! The plan is to go to a town called battle and stay there! Today has been positive but there has also been a little bit of a struggel in certain areas. Some of the main roads have just been too dangerous to go on, therefore when ever I have come across a main road, I got in the car and Poppy took me accross to the nearest side road. This has happened on 3 occasions so far ...
Apart from that its going well... I wish the weather was a little bit better, as the roads are really slippery. My feet are slowly starting to ache, but its fine! Poppy has been a massive support and I am feeling confident that I will make it to Germany for Friday, 13th!
Lots of love, Eva

02/06/08 - First day
Today has been successful. There has been a late change of plan last night and now my friend Poppy McLaughlin is driving alongside me. For that I would like to thank her has I am very grateful and it means a lot! So Poppy: Thank you!
Well, when I left in Bournemouth this morning I was excited but also nervous about my trip! It was nice that some of my friends (Poppy, Nathan and Charlie) came to wave me off. The weather seemed fine and there was nothing to worry about... and then i was off....
I enjoyed to first part route, however when I got on to the A337 I was stopped by police and was not allowed to continue my journey on this road. Therefore I had to wait for Poppy, who thankfully came and picked me up (at this point it was raining and i waited two hours :-) ) So when i got back on the road everything went pretty much smoothly.
We had lunch in "The Giddy Bridge" (we thought that name was funny!!!) in southampton and then i got back on the road and went to havant, where we stayed in a Travelodge. So yeah, that sums up my first day.
So far im feeling good, not to many aches and pains...
Bye bye now,

What's the plan?
Hello,
Tomorrow I will be leaving to go to Germany - on Rollerblades. The total distance is 593 miles and I am hoping to reach my final destination - Heckholzhausen, Germany- within 12 days... doing 55 miles a day.
So if you are reading this you are probably wondering why I am doing this! Well, I have decided to do this in order to raise money for The Murry Foundation (charity number 1119245). The Murry foundation is a non for profit, non salary taking organization. Its founder and Chairman is Mr Adam Murry. Its main objectives are constructing and maintaining orphan children schools and land acquisitions around the world. In September 2006, The Murry Foundation was established as only one of a handful of internationally recognized and respected institutions in Nepal and subsequently through its partner charity, The Bill Jordan Foundation for Wildlife (registered charity number 1109575), received the highest award for the best wildlife conservation organization. The Murry Foundation also provides help to orphaned children by building education centres, and funds rural, sustainable development, enabling the people to build their economy in a manner that respects the wildlife and protects the habitat. The Murry foundation also supports like minded charities and other non-profit organisations such as The Bill Jordan Foundation for Wildlife, San Wild and Home and Abroad Animal Welfare.
I am also dedicating this to my best friend -Tim Jung - who died rollerblading 4 years ago. Tim and I were so close, he was like my little brother. Therefore I am doing this event in his memory.
By writing this blog I would like to keep those of you, who are interested, updated on my progress.
I hope you enjoy reading about it,
Eva
